My Audio Journey
Around the world in folk music
I work with a wide variety of music styles from all around the world both online and in person. I love the world of possibilities in recorded sound and am dedicated to helping my clients present the emotion and nuance of their music to the fullest extent possible.
I first fell in love with the audio process of recording my own music and experimenting with sonic textures in the mixing process. After a few years of audio work, I pursued my master’s degree in Music Production, Technology, and Innovation at Berklee College of Music where I specialized in recording and mixing for international forms of folk music. Before going freelance, I worked at the historic Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands and Jazztone Studios in Spain. As a Latin Grammy Foundation Preservation grantee, I am currently working to study and preserve historic folk music recordings.
Finding the right sonic textures can make all the difference in a piece of recorded music’s vibe. I treat each song as its own unique work and as a musician myself, I always prioritize bringing important musical moments to life and maintaining dynamic motion in my mixes and masters. The pieces below are selected to represent this philosophy.
